I have such a cute baby!

On Tuesday it was Landis' mom's birthday. We went out for mexican and then came back to our house and had cake and ice cream.. Landis' grandparents also came over so we were able to get a 4 generation picture!..

Three weeks old!

Casey is already 3 weeks old! Landis and i are so IN LOVE with him..

Landis has been so amazing.. He is still on paternity leave!.. He decided yesterday he would go back to work on July 7th .. He's been such a big help (I'm on feeding duty, he's on diaper duty..) It's been so much fun being able to spend so much time together, and getting to know our little family so well :)

Just like mommy!

So one thing about me that most people don't know is that i have a really wierd habit. I've sucked my lower lip ever since i can remember.. (everynight when i sleep). Today i caught Casey doing it! ...

2 weeks old!!!

Casey is already 2 weeks old now.. He was 7lbs .01oz on monday he's getting chubby cheeks!!!! and a nice double chin :)

Wrinkles!

Casey is a week old today! I love his forehead wrinkles!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are my favorite!

So ironic that i wrote about how Yoda had been acting weird, and that dogs can predict things and then the next morning at 5:30am my water broke! Talk about weird!

Anyway.. So the story!....

We went to bed on Wednesday night about 11ish.. I woke up about 2:30am and i thought i peed the bed a little bit.. ("pee" was drippin down my leg) so i got up and went to the bathroom and went back to bed... only to find that i was "peeing" myself again about an hour later.. I just thought that the baby was getting really low, therefore pushing on my bladder and making me drip without feeling it.. so i got a towel and put it between my legs for the rest of the night.. I woke up at 5:30am went to the bathroom and then proceeded to stand up, and as i stood up there was a big SPLAT! .. My water broke... and obviously had been leaking all night! So i called the hospital and they told me to come in!.. So for the next hour Landis and i were running around the house like chickens with thier heads cut off... We weren't really prepared thinking that the day would never come..

On the way to the hospital we took a detour to the church building where my dad was teaching seminary so i could get a blessing.. So my dad, Brother Maloy, Landis, and I were smashed inside this tiny closet full of chairs.. My dad and Brother Maloy placed their hands on my head and dad started the blessing... "Stacey"...... ............. ........... .......... After a few seconds of silence i realized my dad couldn't think of my last name.. So we all had a good laugh.... I reminded him of my last name, he finished the blessing, and we were on our way..

Panic!!

By the time we arrived at the hospital my pants were soaked! The nurse that showed me to my birthing room had a good laugh! Landis snapped a picture before i changed into my fancy hospital wear...

So by 7:30 i was in my gown and we were ready to go..

Of course this is the first thing Landis does... (Gettin the TV all figured out)..

At about 8 the Dr. showed up and checked me out. He determined i was dialated at a 4 .. We watched Rataoullie and about 11am the Dr came back and determined i was dialated at a 5 but the baby still hadn't started moving downward.. at 11:30 the contractions were coming fast and hard so I got an epidural! Man! is that wonderful!!!!

After that I didnt feel a thing! I highly recommend this!

So we watched movies alllllllllll day until about 7pm.. the Dr. finally came back and checked me.. i was dialated at a 6 and the baby still hadn't come down at all.. The Dr. told us that the Prognosis for a vaginal birth was very poor and he thought a C-section would be the way to go. He told us to think it over because he was going to go deliver a baby and he would be back when he was done.. So we made the decsion to go ahead and have a c section and the nurse filled us in on all the details.... Landis hadn't eaten all day so we decided he should run and get something to eat before all the excitment happend.. Right when he got back the Dr. was done and they were pretty much unplugging me from the machines and wheeling me down to the O.R (Landis quickly changed)

.... About 20 mins later (after throwing up on the operating table and being very uncomfortable) at 8:02pm I gave birth to a handsome little baby boy!

They wheeled us both back to the room and i finally got to meet my baby!

Casey weighed 6lbs 8oz and was 18inches long!
So glad its finally over!!! I love being a mommy!

11 days to go..

So the days are flying by! I cannot believe I am going to have a baby.. On Monday we recieved a coupon in the mail for 10% off the rest of our baby registry items at Babies R Us .. So we decided to go get the rest of the things we needed.. (talk about last minute.) We got a pack n play thingy... dual use! so while he's real small he can sleep next to our bed... and once he gets bigger he will have place i can put him where he can't escape :).. We also got a baby bathtub and a jogging stroller that hopefully will guilt me into walking Tyson and the baby on a regular basis..

Yoda has been very strange this week it really makes me wonder if the baby will be coming sooner then later. You know how they say dogs can predict things.. Usually he could care less what im doing and he does his own thing, but this week he wont leave my side.. Very strange...

My sister made me

So this isnt me typing. Heidi is making me do this. I love my family. I especially love my sister and all that she does for me. She is wonderful and beautiful. Thanks again Heidi.
